The Animahenasyon Festival is the Philippines’ premier annual celebration of local animation, spotlighting the best works from Filipino creators across the country. Organized by the Animation Council of the Philippines, Inc. (ACPI), the festival serves as both a national animation showcase and a competition that recognizes outstanding entries from students, independent artists, and creative professionals. Through its curated film screenings, educational talks, and competitive categories, Animahenasyon highlights the creativity, talent, and innovation of Filipino animators. More than just a festival, it reinforces the growth of the local animation industry and demonstrates how Filipino storytellers and studios can excel on both national and global stages.
The Mulave Studios team—led by Chief Operations Officer Ruel Benliro Jr., Animation Director Paolo Martin de la Cruz, and powered by the studio’s passionate senior animators—was thrilled to be part of this year’s vibrant celebration of Filipino animation! The team eagerly watched the premiere screenings of the finalist entries across all categories, soaking in the creativity, heart, and storytelling brilliance showcased on the big screen. Each animated piece brought something fresh and exciting to the audience, making the festival an unforgettable experience for everyone.
In line with the event, the Mulave team was grateful to have an incredible three-day experience— coming from the warm welcome and invitation of ACPI, to providing Mulave the chance to showcase the upbringings of Ilonggo Animators to the country’s animation industry.
